Hysteroscopy
At a surgical and maternity clinic, hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the inside of the uterus. During hysteroscopy, a thin, flexible tube with a camera and light source (hysteroscope) is inserted through the vagina and cervix into the uterus, allowing the surgeon to visualize the uterine cavity in real-time. This procedure is commonly performed to diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, such as abnormal bleeding, polyps, fibroids, or adhesions. Hysteroscopy is often used in conjunction with other procedures, such as biopsy or removal of abnormal tissue. The clinic provides a comfortable and sterile environment for the procedure, with skilled gynecological surgeons ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout. Preoperative counseling may be provided to explain the procedure and its potential outcomes, while postoperative care is offered to promote recovery and well-being. Hysteroscopy at the clinic allows for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment of uterine abnormalities, ultimately improving women's reproductive health.
